GraphPlan was born from a simple frustration shared by every process and quality engineer who has ever watched a production line execute against the wrong revision. A drawing updates, but the routing stays frozen in the old world. A CNC program drifts from the released model. Work instructions reference a tolerance that changed two revisions ago. The result is always the same: scrap, rework, and delays that nobody budgeted for.
Our Story
We started GraphPlan after spending years inside manufacturing organizations — watching the same failure mode repeat across industries, from automotive to aerospace to medical devices. The tooling was all there: PLM systems held the design intent, MES platforms scheduled the work, ERP tracked the output. But nothing connected the revision in engineering to the artifacts on the floor.
The gap wasn't a missing feature in any single system. It was the space between systems — the handoff where a revision number gets transcribed onto a paper traveler, or a CNC programmer manually checks whether their program still matches the latest model. That's where execution drift starts, and that's the space GraphPlan fills.
We built GraphPlan to be the connective tissue that links every production artifact — routings, programs, work instructions, inspection plans — back to the exact design revision it was born from. When engineering releases a change, every downstream artifact is traced, flagged, and gated before it can reach the floor. No manual lookups. No stale data. No more "we ran the old program."
